About me

Hello, my name is Ana and I live in the United States. When my youngest son was 5 he was diagnosed with childhood leukemia type ALL.

Many people will wonder why I decided to start this blog about a very taboo topic in my society. In my tribe (or society, you could say) the topic of cancer is almost taboo. Although we do have some history of cancer in my family, there has never been anyone in my family or my husband’s family who has had to deal with childhood leukemia. Since there was no guide or idea of anyone having gone through this, this has been very hard emotionally, mentally and all the ‘llys’ you can imagine for us.

Each of my advice is due to the experience that my family and I have gone through for more than 7 years. These are things that I have learned how to do by trying different ways, which is why my son is more resilient. Nothing I write is medical advice nor should it be taken as such, so please consult your doctors and do not let any of your questions go unanswered.

I hope you find some way or advice that works for you to help your son or daughter. If there isn’t something here that you are looking for, feel free to message me and I will help you however I can or direct you to someone who can. I will try to keep the blogs as short as possible and almost to the point because I know that in this sometimes and almost daily there is no time for much reading. After a while I will try to make these tips into YouTube videos to make everything easier for you.
