Nystatin / Mycostatin

When my son had to take a very strong medicine called Dexamethasone or Decadron (which is steroids) they gave me another medicine to prevent sores and thrush from developing in his mouth and esophagus. The preventive medicine is called nystatin/mycostatin. My son enjoyed this medicine, I think it is the only one he still remembers and it brings back good memories. Which surprises me because look how thin he is. It was a liquid that had to be used as a rinse, it also had to be spread all over the mouth to avoid any sores and left on and not removed after a while. For this I ordered him some soft sponges that he filled with the liquid and spread it all over his mouth and in every corner. The good thing about this is that my son liked the taste. He tells me until now that it tasted like banana. I even got curious and tried it and, yes, it tastes like banana.
